Who provides OnoDocs
OnoDocs is developed and supplied by Ion OÜ, registry code 11874469, VAT ID EE101815547, Vilde 6-5, Kohtla-Järve, Estonia. Contact support@onodocs.com for licensing, support, billing, or questions about these terms.
Availability and orders
Install the SDK, Canvas and Editor packages from npm, or download archives from the developer repository, which also contains guides and samples. The Editor source is available under MIT. The SDK and Canvas implementations remain private. Commercial licenses are available through online checkout. Displaying this offer does not grant production rights.
Paddle acts as merchant of record for purchases made through its checkout. Paddle’s Buyer Terms govern payment processing and the purchase transaction. These terms govern your use of OnoDocs. Your order will identify the license holder, applications, and update coverage. These clarifications do not narrow rights granted by an earlier purchase agreement or change an issued entitlement. Existing purchases remain governed by their applicable agreements.
Application licenses
A Single application license covers one named application. A Multiple applications license covers up to five named applications. An application is a distinct software product or service, including backend-only document automation. One application license covers SDK, Canvas and their self-hosted capabilities for that product, including its frontend, backend, background jobs and collaboration.
All domains, regions, development, test, staging and production environments, tenants and customer-hosted copies of the same product are included. A shared backend serving independent products counts each distinct product as an application. For agency work, identify each client product and the license holder in the order.
Both plans include all shipped capabilities and framework integrations, with unlimited developers, end users and processed documents. You may embed and distribute OnoDocs within the named applications, including custom branding and finished document editors sold to end users.
Reselling reusable components containing SDK or Canvas, granting independent downstream development rights in those commercial packages, or selling a general document-processing API using them to developers requires a separately quoted written redistribution agreement with Ion OÜ. Contact support@onodocs.com for that agreement or questions about your application scope. Ordinary application licenses do not grant these redistribution rights or use outside the named applications.
A valid commercial license permits production use and removes evaluation notices. You may continue using releases covered by the license indefinitely, including after update and support coverage ends. Source-code ownership and intellectual-property rights remain with Ion OÜ and the relevant third-party rights holders.
Generated documents and data
You may distribute generated DOCX, PDF and extracted data royalty-free. Recipients need no OnoDocs license merely to receive or use those outputs. Their own software requires a license if it runs OnoDocs outside the covered application scope. Preserve any evaluation notices in outputs produced under evaluation terms.
Updates and support
The initial purchase includes twelve months of updates and email support for product issues. Optional annual renewal extends coverage for another twelve months. Renewal is a separate purchase, with no automatic charge under the current offer.
Initial coverage starts on the payment date and ends the day before its first anniversary. Early renewal adds twelve months after the latest paid coverage. Renewal after a lapse starts on its payment date. Earlier paid coverage is preserved. Expiry does not disable covered releases.
Custom implementation and guaranteed response times are not included.
See Pricing for the initial purchase and renewal amounts. Prices are in USD, excluding applicable taxes.
Evaluation and trial
Free evaluation provides SDK and Canvas without registration, a credit card, or a time limit, with an evaluation watermark. An optional signed trial key removes the watermark for 30 days from issuance. Evaluation and trial use are for non-production purposes. An expired trial returns to evaluation mode. Website demo licenses apply only to the OnoDocs demonstrations.
Editor and sample code
OnoDocs-authored Editor code, sample code and authored sample documents in the developer repository use the MIT license. You may modify and redistribute that code, including in commercial products, while preserving its copyright and applicable third-party notices. MIT rights in Editor do not grant production or redistribution rights in its separately licensed SDK and Canvas dependencies. Editor has no separate entitlement or purchase. Each package archive includes its applicable license and third-party notices.
Delivery, refunds and termination
A commercial order grants rights only after payment and license issuance. A secure purchase link provides the license key, covered-release date, SDK archive and installation instructions. Delivery and recovery use the billing email provided at checkout. See our refund policy for refund requests. A refunded initial license no longer grants production rights. A refunded renewal removes the added coverage while preserving earlier paid entitlements.
Approved refunds and payment disputes can suspend access to the affected entitlement. Previously downloaded offline keys cannot be instantly revoked. You must stop use that falls outside your license. Material breaches may result in termination of the affected license after written notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the breach where it can be remedied. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
Product scope and your application
The SDK supports Word document rendering and editing, template generation, forms, review, structured extraction, and DOCX/PDF output within its documented feature scope. Optional collaboration requires application-hosted services. Electronic signing is not supported. Rendering depends on supported document features and available fonts. Test your documents, editing workflows and supported browsers before production use. Complete Word compatibility is not guaranteed.
You are responsible for your application, its handling of document data, backups and compliance obligations. Except as expressly agreed or required by law, the SDK is supplied as available without a guarantee that every document feature or integration will work. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
